The Pico do Areeiro Viewpoint, located at 1818 meters, provides a fantastic view of the central mountains of Madeira Island.Pico do Areeiro Viewpoint is located at the second highest point on Madeira Island, at 1,818 meters above sea level.
From this viewpoint there is an excellent panoramic view of the central mountains of Madeira Island. This is also the starting point for one of the most spectacular trails to the archipelago’s highest point, Pico Ruivo, at 1,862 meters.
